Posture and walking
technique |
| 1. |
Walk with your body upright, looking
straight ahead, the chin pointing slightly downwards, stretching the back
of the neck
| 2. |
Pull your shoulders back and lift your
chest
| 3. |
Pull in stomach and bottom, keep
muscles slightly tensed, avoid a hollow back
| 4. |
Keep the elbows parallel and close to
the body, bend the arms slightly allowing them to hang loosely at your
side and swing as you walk
| 5. |
Make your hands into slightly open
fists
6. |
Make sure your heel hits the ground first
and that you then roll onto the ball of your foot and then your toes. The
knees should always be relaxed and not completely straightened
7. |
Raise the foot and set it down, heel first,
20 to 30 cm in front of the other
Always stay relaxed and walk
at your own pace. Make sure that you follow the right sequence of movements!
Do not stop walking abruptly but wind down gradually and finish with a few
stretching exercises.
